2007

The private team BE1 Racing ends with Flavio Gentile’s 14th place in the first race of the Italian Sprint Championship at Mugello circuit, therefore debuting in racing competitions. The result encourages the team manager Giuliano Rovelli, a businessman and a good rider himself in the early 90s. “That was a special day for me: the first step towards the fulfilment of an important project.

The team worked hard to improve and by the end of the season the fledgling outfit had scored podium finishes in both the Italian and European championships, with Ivan Clementi scoring a second place at Mugello and Diego Giugovaz third in the European championship race at Cartagena.


2008

With the three-cylinder Daytona 675 admitted to the Supersport World Championship for the 2008 season, BE1 Racing stepped up to the challenge and less than a year after their first ever race found themselves lining up on the second row of the grid at the season opener in Qatar.

With the support of Triumph Italy, BE1 Racing established themselves as the British manufacturer’s leading entry in the series. In 2008 the Australian rider Mark Aitchison ended the year 14th, with a best result of sixth in Misano.


2009

BE1 Racing’s outcomes were noted by the Triumph factory, who appointed them as its official World Supersport entry in 2009. With increased backing and knowledge of the three-cylinder Daytona 675 the squad began to make its mark on the world stage.

Garry McCoy gave the Triumph and the team their first podium finish with a hard-fought third place at Donington Park, with another third place at the season-ending Portimao race giving the Australian eighth in the overall points standings.


2010

The team has redoubled its efforts, entering a four-rider attack on the Supersport World Championship with strong, talented and highly motivated riders. Britain’s Chaz Davies continues with the team after impressing in the final three rounds of the 2009 campaign and is joined by the French Matthieu Lagrive, the American star Jason DiSalvo and the promising Spaniard David Salom.

In addition to the four-man world supersport squad, BE1 Racing with ParkinGO and InFront have also created the Triumph ParkinGO European Series, a seven-round one-make championship featuring Triumph’s award-winning Street Triple R.
